Rolling Stone has an interesting story on rapper-turned-rocker KID ROCK and his new hit “All Summer Long”.   Apparently the…

song “All Summer Long” (which samples the terrific Lynyrd Skynryd song “Sweet Home Alabama” and Warren Zevon “Werewolves of London”) was decidedly kept out the loop for a release UNTIL this summer.

The KID ROCK album “Rock N Roll Jesus” been out since last October and the label wanted to release the single sooner but apparently KID ROCK demanded they wait to put it out until Summer 2008.  Also, it’s the one tune that is NOT available on iTunes.   Check out the KID ROCK Rolling Stone article when you get a chance.

On the song’s patient rise, KID ROCK says,

“I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here, Good music doesn’t go out of style, and if you hear a great song and it moves you, you’ll obtain it — by any means necessary.”
