Super Quote (re: Rev Al Sharpton)

Last night, on his Hour of Power radio show on KISS-FM, Al Sharpton groused a little on the state of civil rights.  On April the 4th, he was in Memphis to commemorate the anniversary of the assasination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.   He reminded the radio audience that it’s important to teach younger people that everything isn’t better.  He said that people feel that,

“…everything is all right now.  Things are better but that ain’t enough.  Malcolm X used to say that ‘if a man stabs you and has a knife stuck 6 inches into your back and pulls it out 3 inches, it’s PROGRESS but there’s still more to go.’ ”  — Rev Al Sharpton
